COVID-19 practice policies (updated December 2023)
**Our COVID-19 practice policies are fluid in response to Queensland Health guidelines and our need to continually put the safety of our patients, staff and families first. Please check this page regularly for our policy updates.
At Skin Partners, our patient demographic largely comprises vulnerable individuals including young children, elderly and immune compromised individuals who are unable to be vaccinated themselves or who are at high risk of serious illness. As a healthcare provider, we have strong duty of care to protect our patients, staff and our families.
If you are COVID-19 positive, OR are unwell with symptoms e.g. cough, runny nose, sore throat, fever, muscle aches, vomiting, please do NOT attend our practice for a face-to-face appointment. Please ring reception to convert your appointment to a telehealth consultation or reschedule your face-to-face appointment after you have a negative PCR or RAT test, and are no longer experiencing any symptoms.
In line with current Queensland Government Directives, face masks are not compulsory but are recommended indoors.
This is an evolving situation and the safety of our patients and staff is paramount during these unprecedented times. We will continue to take steps including full compliance with Queensland Government Directives to ensure we act in your best interests.
Our doctors and staff appreciate your patience and cooperation to comply with these practice policies to keep us all safe. At Skin Partners, we value mutual respect between us and our patients. Therefore, any form of abuse to staff about this policy will not be tolerated.
Thank you for your understanding.
